Tight security in Philippines

Philippines has this extreme tight of security. All the entrances of shopping complex, casino and night club have security checkup, which will go through all your bag or hand carry. Everywhere you can see soldiers with machine guns roaming around.

In Diosdado Macapagal International Airport at Pampanga (which people normally refer it as Clark Airport), you need to take off your shoes for scanning before entering the boarding room (I heard that US also has this kind of security policy), and you can't take batteries with you (normal packed AA batteries). But they let you bring batteries inside camera, and water aboard.

Beware if you bought some weird stuffs in Philippines and wanted to bring it home, like knuckle shaped belt or cigarette box lighter. The custom might dig into your luggage and took it away, even it will be put into cargo (bad experiences of my friends).
